David Payne

David is the driver and has been racing for 18 years. David is also the owner of David Payne Racing in Murphy. He has raced in the Hava Tampa Series, UDTRA, Southern Allstars, Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series, Advanced Auto Parts Tennessee Thunder Dirt Car Series and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Southern Nationals.  David is a High School teacher at Murphy High School and the Varsity Basketball Coach and J.V. Football Coach. He is married to Christy and they have twin daughter Rylie and Sydney and have another daughter on the way.

Ronnie Payne

Ronnie, David's father and the owner of Payne Tire in Murphy, N.C.  He began racing as a teenager and continues to do so today. Ronnie's success through the years, especially the early 1980's, established the Payne presence on and off the racetrack. Ronnie is part  owner as well as crew chief. He also continues to drive on occasion.

Jason (Junior) Allison

Junior as we call him, helps out at the raceshop throughout the week. He lives just up the road from the shop. Jason has been with the team for about 10 years now. He helps with everything and David couldn't make it without him. Jason works with a construction company throughout the week running backhoes, dozers, etc. Thanks Junior!!

Robert Payne

Robert is David's younger brother and probably his biggest fan. Robert owns  Star Graphix, the one responsible for our graphics. He is married to Tara and they live in Murphy. If you need assistance with racecar lettering and design call Robert @ 828-494-7847.

Doug Sneed

Doug along with his father build houses for a living. Doug often travels a lot during the week to and from jobsites which limits his time at the shop during the weeks. He does usually joins us at the racetrack on weekends. Doug is married to David's cousin and so that is how he kind of got into racing. He and Dianna have three sons, Ethan, Evan, & Bryson.
